At just 19 years old, Stu Hart trusted Dynamite Kid enough to create a championship just for him. On June 1st, 1978, the Dynamite Kid became the first ever Stampede Wrestling British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion. A title he would go on to hold on 4 different occasions. Feuding with the likes of Bret Hart and Norman Frederick Charles III.
