Dynamite Kid - The Rivalry '83 Shirt
In 1983, Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask would wrestle for the vacant WWF World Junior Heavyweight title in Kuramae Kokugikan Sumo Arena, Tokyo, Japan in what would be considered the first 5-star classic. The match would end in a double-count out, but the rivalry between Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama) and Dynamite Kid would last forever.
Many consider the matches between the two men to be the blueprint for today's exciting and high-flying style of wrestling and would wow Japanese audiences every time they would face each other.
Dynamite Kid would consider Tiger Mask his greatest rival and from the early days of New Japan Pro Wrestling until Tom Billington's last match in Michinoku Pro in a six-man tag match featuring Sayama on the other side, the two would share a bond that would transcend the wrestling business.
